There is something most parents in Thane do not know - the very first Sainik School in India was set up in Satara in 1961. That makes Maharashtra the original home of this whole idea. The hard part is the AISSEE ↗ itself. Plenty of bright Thane kids - children scoring 90 plus in their school exams - sit for it every year and miss the cut-off. It is not their fault. Sunday morning is mock day. The paper runs from 9 to 12, then we discuss it together till 1. From October onwards, missing the Sunday mock simply is not on the table. We tell parents this on day one so nobody is surprised later.

In 2025, the boy who topped our Class 6 batch scored 268 out of 300 - the highest mark from the entire Mumbai-Thane region that year. Two of our Satara selections were Bhiwandi boys - their fathers run small power-loom units near the highway. Both of them paid only 30% of our fees because they cleared our scholarship test the September before. The reason we share these specifics is simple. Results are not just about who topped. We accept students from Class 4 onwards. At that age the classes look nothing like exam coaching - there is mental arithmetic, English through small stories, a Saturday puzzle hour where children solve picture-based reasoning and end up laughing more than studying. No homework piles, no pressure. By the time the same boy reaches Class 6 and sits for the AISSEE, the paper format is already familiar territory.
