There Are Only Four of These in the Whole Country

Kathak has exactly four recognised gharanas, or schools, anywhere in India, Lucknow, Jaipur, Banaras, and Raigarh. That's it. And Raigarh's own gharana is genuinely the youngest one, put together in the early 1900s by Maharaja Chakradhar Singh, who basically invited the best dancers from all three older gharanas into his court and asked them to build something new together. He wasn't just funding it either, he studied old texts himself, worked out new rhythmic patterns with names like Megh Pushp and Dal Badal Paran, and pushed dancers to perform at extreme tempos, either very slow or very fast, that dancers trained elsewhere still find genuinely difficult. Raigarh calls itself the Cultural Capital of Chhattisgarh now, and it's not really an exaggeration. Building something entirely new out of three older traditions, and getting it good enough to be recognised as its own school, takes patience most people underestimate.

What the Real Exam Actually Asks

Most families don't find out how fast AISSEE actually moves until a full mock happens. 125 questions in two and a half hours, and a kid who does perfectly fine on school tests can still run out of time completely on this one, because nothing about a normal classroom exam trains for that speed. The Intelligence section makes it worse, since it isn't part of any regular school syllabus, so most students are seeing that kind of question cold on exam day. What we actually work on here is pace, walking away from a question that isn't worth fighting for, and staying accurate all the way to the end of the paper instead of only in the first stretch. Physical batch, online batch, doesn't matter, same tests, same correction either way.

Chhattisgarh's Own Sainik School

Sainik School Ambikapur, over in Surguja district, opened in 2008 on an 84-acre campus, and it genuinely takes both boys and girls into Class 6 and Class 9. Being in-state means Chhattisgarh domicile candidates land inside the standard 67 percent home quota, which is a real advantage over states with no Sainik School to draw on at all. RMS runs separately since Chhattisgarh has no RMS campus of its own, so a selected candidate boards out of state, usually Dholpur. Our RMS coaching in Raigarh trains straight to that actual CET pattern rather than dressing up AISSEE material with a new label, and RIMC coaching gets the same treatment, built around what RIMC's own written paper and interview genuinely test.

What a Normal Week Actually Looks Like

Early in the week it's concept work, new material taken slowly enough that it actually sticks instead of getting rushed and forgotten by Friday. From midweek it shifts to timed drills, short sets against a real clock, so pace becomes automatic rather than something a kid has to think about mid-paper. There's a slot every week set aside just for whatever a specific student is weakest in that particular week, not some group topic drilled evenly whether everyone actually needs it or not. Once a month a full-length mock replaces the usual weekend class, run at genuine AISSEE timing. RIMC students carry one extra session on top, purely for subjective writing and interview practice.

Mock testing runs nationally, so when a parent asks where their child stands, the answer reflects real competition, not a flattering number from a small local pool.
