Every year, hundreds of Border Security Force jawans pass out of the parade ground at Meru, Hazaribagh. That training centre - set up on December 1, 1965, the very day BSF was raised - is the oldest of its kind in the country. It has trained over 2.65 lakh soldiers. Countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan send their personnel here.
Down the road from Meru, the Jharkhand Police Academy has been producing officers since 1912. The CRPF has a battalion stationed in this city. The old military road from Kolkata to Varanasi passed right through this district, and the last syllable of Hazaribagh's own name - bagh, meaning garden - came from a mango grove that once served as a camping ground for marching troops.
Hazaribagh literally grew up around uniformed service. This city knows what discipline looks like, up close and every day.
And Sainik School Tilaiya is right next door - in Koderma district, which shares a border with Hazaribagh. Children here have the shortest road to that school of any district in Jharkhand.

Class 6 AISSEE ↗ - 200 questions, 150 minutes. Forty-five seconds a question. Class 9 AISSEE - 150 questions, 180 minutes. No easier.
Children who fail AISSEE often know enough to pass. What finishes them is the timer. They sit too long on one Maths problem. They re-read a comprehension passage twice. They see the OMR sheet half-blank with 15 minutes left and start guessing in panic. Then negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer turns that panic into real score damage.

Hazaribagh district has a significant SC and OBC-NCL population across its 16 blocks. The OBC-NCL central list route - 27% of all seats - is the most underused quota in this district. Families often assume they won't qualify or don't know how the central list works. We check your documents and tell you exactly where you stand before you leave our centre on the first day.
Defence Ward Quota - 25% of remaining seats go to wards of serving and retired Army, Navy and Air Force personnel. Given the BSF, CRPF and police presence in this district, a substantial number of Hazaribagh families are eligible under this or related categories. We check and confirm the same day.
Girls - minimum 10% of Class 6 seats, or at least 10 seats, whichever is higher.

AISSEE Class 6 - Maths, English, General Knowledge, Intelligence. Chapter test before each new topic. No child moves forward without clearing 70% in the current unit.
AISSEE Class 9 - Adds Science and Social Studies. Wednesday chapter tests. Full Saturday mock from 8 AM to 11 AM.
RMS Coaching - Rashtriya Military Schools, Class 6 and 9. Around 70% of RMS seats are reserved for defence wards - a direct second path for many Hazaribagh families. The paper leans hard on reasoning. Our weekly schedule is built for that from week one.
RIMC ↗ Coaching - Written exam, interview and viva are one integrated course. A retired Army officer sits on our mock interview panel. Your son faces a real panel in Hazaribagh before he travels to Dehradun.

The 2025 list includes children from Hazaribagh town, Barhi, Ichak, Bishnugarh and Chauparan. Several came through the OBC-NCL and SC home-state lists. One was a defence ward.
Hazaribagh district spans 16 blocks across two subdivisions. Students in Keredari or Chalkusha cannot commute daily. We run a live online batch alongside the classroom - same teacher, same hour, same paper. Saturday mocks go out as printed OMR sheets by post. Scan and return the same evening. Two of our 2025 selections came through this format.
Scholarship tests every April and September - open to every child in Hazaribagh district, no prior enrolment needed to sit.
