I want to tell you the truth about the RMS, RIMC ↗ and Sainik School entrance exams. I have seen hundreds of kids take these exams. The RMS entrance exams the RIMC entrance exams and the Sainik School entrance exams are really tough. I know what it is, like for kids to go through the RMS entrance exams and the RIMC entrance exams and the Sainik School entrance exams. I have seen hundreds of kids try to get into the RMS and the RIMC and the Sainik School by taking these entrance exams.
I am going to tell you something. I want to be honest with you. I am going to be blunt, with you.
A lot of parents want their child to go to a Rashtriya Military School ↗ or a Rashtriya Indian Military College.. They start getting ready very late. They search for coaching classes on Google in October. The exam for Rashtriya Military School is in December. Then they are surprised when their child does not get in. Parents should start preparing their child, for Rashtriya Military School.
That is not parenting. That is just not knowing how the parenting system works. So let me break down the parenting system for you. No stuff, no trying to sell you something. Just the things I wish someone had told me about parenting years.
These Are Not Normal School Exams
Parents often make a mistake when it comes to the RMS or RIMC entrance. They think the RMS entrance is like a regular school exam.. That is not true. The RMS or RIMC entrance is really different from a school exam. It is completely different. The RMS entrance and the RIMC entrance are not, like anything you experience in school.
The Rashtriya Military School CET has a lot of questions 180 to be exact. The test is for Class 6. It has sections on Maths and English and Intelligence and General Knowledge. For Class 9 it is a bit harder because they also have Science and Social Studies. The Rashtriya Military School CET is an OMR-based test. So if you fill in one bubble, on the Rashtriya Military School CET answer sheet you will lose marks for the Rashtriya Military School CET.
The Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance is really something. The Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance paper is very tough. It checks how well you understand English how well you can reason with Maths and how much General Knowledge you have. The Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance is so hard that it can make grown ups stop and think. I am telling you the truth. You should look at a years Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance paper and you will understand what I am saying.
Your child is going to do homework at school. This is different. The homework they do at school is not going to get them ready, for this. Your childs school homework is just not enough to prepare them for this.
You know people often wonder why some kids can handle pressure and others just can't. The real reason some kids crack under stress and others do not is actually pretty interesting. Some kids are able to deal with situations because of the way they are raised. The kids who do not crack under stress are often the ones who have parents that teach them how to handle their emotions and deal with problems. On the hand the kids who do crack under stress are usually the ones who do not have the right tools to handle difficult situations. The real reason some kids crack and others do not is because of the way they learn to handle stress and pressure. Some kids are just better at dealing with stress because they have learned how to do. The kids who crack under stress are the ones who need to learn how to deal with their emotions and problems in a way. The real reason some kids crack and others do not is, about how they handle stress and pressure.
It is not always about who's smarter. I have seen average students pass the exam and brilliant kids fail it. The difference is the way they prepare for the exam. Preparation strategy is what makes the difference. Average students can pass the exam if they have a preparation strategy. Brilliant kids can fail the exam if they do not have a preparation strategy. The preparation strategy of students is sometimes better, than that of brilliant kids.
Kids who do well on these exams usually do a things correctly. They begin studying early, like eight to ten months before the exam.
They practice with papers, from previous years not just any practice sheets.
They get special help from a coach who teaches them how to deal with the stress of a timed test like the ones given at military schools.
These kids know that military school entrance exams are tough so they make sure to prepare for the pressure of an OMR exam.
The last part is really important. People do not understand how much it matters. You can know all the formulas. If you get nervous during the test it does not help. Good Rashtriya Military School coaching teaches a child to stay calm work quickly and skip questions they get stuck, on. This way Rashtriya Military School coaching helps them do their best.
The Interview Round is where a lot of peoples dreams die quietly. This is the part of the process where you can go from being really hopeful to disappointed. The Interview Round is the place where dreams die quietly. It can be really tough to deal with. Many people have plans and they think The Interview Round is going to be the start of something amazing but sometimes it does not work out that way. The Interview Round is where dreams die quietly. It is a hard thing to face.
This is something that really gets to me every year. A kid does great on the written test. The parents are so happy. They start celebrating. Then the kid goes into the interview room. Everything falls apart for the kid. The kid just cannot do well in the interview. It is really sad to see the kid struggle like that. The kid and the parents were so hopeful, after the written test. The interview is just too much for the kid to handle.
RMS and RIMC both have an interview after you finish the written exam. The marks you get from the interview are added to the marks you got in the written exam to make the list of who gets in. So a kid who did well on the written test can still not get a spot if someone else does better when they talk to the people interviewing them.
Most coaching centres do not even bother with this part. They only focus on the written exam. This is because it is a lot simpler to teach.. The best Sainik coaching programmes always make sure to include mock interviews and sessions to help with your personality. If your coaching centre does not do this then that is a sign, for Sainik coaching programmes.
How to Pick Coaching That Actually Works
You do not need the expensive institute. You need the institute that's really honest. Here is my checklist.
Do they actually teach the exam pattern that we will see on the test? This seems like a thing but a lot of places use study material that is not specific to the test. When it comes to RMS Class 6 and RMS Class 9 preparation it should be based on the CET syllabus. A good RIMC entrance exam coaching program should be very similar, to the RIMC paper, not a simplified version of it. Good RIMC coaching should make us feel like we are taking the RIMC test.
Do they have mock tests? If the answer is no then I would say do not bother. Weekly mock tests are really important when you are getting ready for an entrance exam. I think weekly mock tests are the important thing to do. Nothing is more important, than taking mock tests when you are preparing for an entrance exam.
Are the batches small? Your child needs to be able to raise their hand and ask a question in the class without feeling like nobody is paying attention to them.
The ideal number of kids in a batch is fifteen to twenty.
If there are than thirty kids in a batch that is not a good thing, for your child.
Do they cover fitness and the interview?
RIMC coaching is not complete without interview preparation it is like making half a meal.
The RMS also checks the standards of the students.
A complete programme should cover everything. The written test, physical fitness and personality development.
This way the RIMC coaching and RMS programme will be helpful, for the students.
The window is really small. It is smaller, than the window that you think it is. The window that we are talking about is not very big all. The window is smaller than you think it is.
For Rashtriya Military School Class 6 your child has to be between 10 and 12 years old.
This is an age for them to start at Rashtriya Military School.
For Rashtriya Military School Class 9 your child must be between 13 and 15 years old.
Rashtriya Indian Military College is another option.
Rashtriya Indian Military College takes students around the age of Class 8.
This means you have a small window to get your child into Rashtriya Indian Military College or Rashtriya Military School.
You have two years at for each entry, into Rashtriya Military School or Rashtriya Indian Military College.
Miss it and there is no rewind button.
I want to give you some advice. If your kid is in Class 4 Class 5 Class 7 or Class 8 at the moment this is the time for you to do something. You should look for a coaching programme for your kid. You need to start this programme this month. Do not wait until month. Do not wait until after the summer holidays. You should start the coaching programme this month for your kid, in Class 4 Class 5 Class 7 or Class 8.
Your child's future self will be grateful you did not wait.
